NGO
The Ukrainian Union in Bergen and Hordaland was founded in 2016 to bring together the Ukrainian diaspora in the region and develop cultural initiatives. The organization works to preserve and promote Ukrainian culture and traditions while strengthening contact and cooperation between Ukrainians and Norwegians.
After Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022, the union's work expanded significantly. Today, its priorities include information support, social adaptation for refugees from Ukraine, and their involvement in cultural projects and civic initiatives. An important part of this work has also become finding and engaging Norwegian and international organizations that want to support Ukrainians in Norway and help Ukraine through humanitarian aid and support in the defense sphere.
